Free. Online. One time.
And actually useful.

Utah state law requires all off-highway vehicle operators to complete an approved OHV education course before operating on Utah public lands. The course is run by the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation, it's free, it's online, and it's a lifetime one-time requirement. Complete it once and you're done for every future Utah trip.

It takes about 45–60 minutes. It covers trail safety, environmental responsibility, group riding etiquette, terrain awareness, and legal requirements. Riders consistently tell us it's more useful than they expected. The knowledge shows when they get out on the trail.

This applies to you.
Full stop.

If you're visiting from Nevada, California, Arizona, Colorado, or anywhere else — the Utah OHV education requirement applies to you the moment your machine is on Utah public land. There's no out-of-state exemption, no equivalent certificate from another state, no workaround. Complete the Utah course online before your trip. Bring your certificate. It's one hour of your life.

Bring your certificate.
Digital is fine.

We'll ask to see your completion certificate at pickup. A screenshot on your phone or a PDF is perfectly acceptable. If you don't have it, we can't put you on the machine. Handle this in advance — ideally when you book the rental, not the night before your ride day.

Legal. Smart. Easy.
Just do the course.

Complete the Utah OHV course before your trip, then book your Brian Head rental.
